> The dot TV helps distinguish cTc.tv as a tele-visual resource web site.
> The core effort is to provide free links to the source web sites that present the Holy Bible as text, sound and audio visual in thousands of languages.
> The seeker who wishes to learn more can use the web site to access other free resources on the Internet that have been carefully selected and are considered to be free of sectarian bias.

E. WHAT IS THE MISSION OF cTc.tv? |
> The Call to cTc.tv is inspired by the Word: “I appeal to you, brothers, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that all of you agree with one another so that there may be no divisions among you and that you may be perfectly united in mind and thought.” (1 Corinthians 1:10). > When individuals prepared by the Holy Spirit seek the truths of the Bible, the focus of cTc.tv is to help them personally locate self-study resources to learn about the Bible, and go to local church. > Local churches may be expected to offer responders fellowship: encouraging, teaching and building one another up in the understanding of the Grace and Mercy of the Lord Jesus Christ. This might involve being a guest at several local churches to observe and make a choice. > Our prayer is that responders develop a desire to worship God, receive His Word, accept Jesus Christ as their Savior, and have fellowship with others as together they each seek full spiritual maturity and that church attendance, participation in worship, Bible study, small groups and mission teams, prayer and membership becomes a part of their regular life. |

G. WHAT IS THE VISION OF cTc.tv? |
> The vision of cTc.tv flows from the Scripture and a commitment to use modern mass communications technology to help fulfill the Great Commission and the Great Commandment.
> The perspective is to significantly reduce the constraints of individual church resources to overcome some of the cost barriers to using mass media like the Internet for outreach messages. > As the number of churches, individual web sites, social media and others list and promote links to the cTc.tv web site, we expect to use open source media campaigns, in particular press releases, to further expand awareness and attract more responders to cTc.tv (while not free, a dream is for anonymous sponsors to bring forth strategic billboards, baseball cap patches, bumper stickers, etc., with the simple cTc.tv logo and/or Ichthys with the letters cTc.tv within the bounds of the outline). > Churches concerned with missionary programs outside the United States that are anxious to overcome the barriers imposed by shortfalls in outreach in their locale see this as a strategic bonus from the cTc.tv mission. > The long-term vision is to have zero budget cTc.tv awareness campaigns running steadily in 175 major metropolitan areas of the United States (those regions having more than 250,000 population and served by television broadcast and cable media).
> Eventually, the concept may expand beyond the borders of the United States, but for now, first things first! |
H. WHY WAS cTc.tv FOUNDED? |
> In 2003, after more than 15 years in an outreach ministry that spans the globe, the founder noted that, “The body of Christ, the Church, is splintered into thousands of denominations. Churches want to reach out with the Good News of Jesus Christ and seek better ways to fulfill the Great Commission. Most local churches want to grow by attracting individuals to come to church”. He decided to try to do something different about it: create a cost-effective mass media communications strategy that would foster inquiry and local church attendance. The concept was tested with rapid acceptance in a mid-size metro-region in the northeastern part of the United States.
> The endeavor was organized to provide Christian churches with a way to unite and bear the cost of modern media messages that encourage church attendance.
> The crushing impact of the Great Recession slowed the effort, and the subsequent growth of multiple directory and informational resources on the Internet led to a prayerful decision to refocus cTc.tv to be a free access, very easy to recall and use resource linking to the “best-of-the-best” core non-denominational resources for all to freely use.
> Of particular interest is access in thousands of languages using not only text, but also as audio and audio visual to serve any individual, anywhere, anytime, and anyplace.
> This makes it easy and possible for thousands of church webmasters anywhere in the world to save time, energy, and funds associated with basic links for the individual church websites. And very importantly, free access to cTc.tv without a sign-in by most anybody who has any electronic communications device, including tablets, mobile phones, MP3 players, etc.
> The leadership of ctc.tv is a father-son team, reflecting many years of national and international Christian outreach by the son, and marketing planning and program experience at local and national levels by the father. |
I. WHO IS cTc.tv REACHING OUT TO? |
> We are all concerned about trends that reflect generational declines in integrity and values that provide the foundation for positive human interaction, our personal freedom, and indeed, the future of the United States of America. > Our goal in response to this situation is to foster increased levels of active attendance and participation in the fellowship of caring Christian churches. The idea is to use the reach of the Internet and related media to develop awareness of cTc.tv and to be available to all who privately inquire and wish to use free resources as they start their inquiry and search process. > Each day, life’s circumstances cause randomly located individuals to consider seeking a church. Most tend to consider churches in close proximity to their household. But, how do they find and select a church when there are so many? How do they know what is behind the doors of the various religious facilities in their proximity? How do they find the Truth? > One answer is to provide ongoing memorable media messages that encourage the seeker to recall and use the short web address: cTc.tv. The letters are from the identical initials of multiple messages: Come to church, come to Christ, connect to Christians, Christians that care, churches that care, choose to change, change the choice, and many more that are in our files. More and more of these messages take the user to cTc.tv and its associated web pages. > The formerly non-interested individual who becomes a seeker due to the messages can readily go to cTc.tv. Then when they are ready, they can use the national church mapping services on cTc.tv to initiate direct contact and become acquainted with the local church(s) of their choice. > All are welcome to discover and come to local Christian churches. We want all to learn the unchanging Gospel about Jesus Christ in the face of the ever-shifting winds of contemporary culture and times around the globe. |
J. WHAT IS VISUALIZED AS THE CORE THEME OF cTc.tv MASS MEDIA MESSAGES (IF THAT PHASE BECOMES A REALITY)? |
> The plan is to use creative, cutting edge cable television spot commercials that will develop a sub-conscious recall of cTc.tv when a passive or inattentive listener, and maybe a viewer, has that unpredictable moment of life's stress that just might cause them to start on the path of becoming a seeker. We want cTc.tv to easily come to mind instead of anything else: “When life stresses you, go to cTc.tv to discover the Truth, and also find a nearby local church that cares”. > What are some of life's stressors? The list is long, but some of the more common ones include marital issues or divorce, financial or job troubles, addictions of all types, care giving of dependents, abuse of any kind, catastrophic loss of health, unexpected expecting of child, any kind of violence, death of close family, friends, involuntary life changing event, etc. > The emotions that come with these stressors include depression, grief, rejection, hopelessness, fear, anxiety, loss of self-control, resentment, anger, frustration, etc. > What is sought to deal with these issues? As Christians, we want the answer to be Jesus and the Love of God. But first we must get the attention of the lost, plant the thought that the Church is a good starting point, and that cTc.tv is a fast and easy way to find, learn about, select and then make contact with a nearby Christian church that really cares. > To see audio-visual messages that we have tested and a unique one that we have created, please contact Randall@cTc.tv |
K. WHAT IS UNIQUE ABOUT THE cTc.tv PLAN? |
> Most local church seekers tend to consider church proximity, but may be limited in their personal knowledge about the many buildings near them that house a wide variety of religious organizations. This is a daunting challenge for the person who has limited knowledge of organized denominations, and non-denominational local churches.
> Directories are typically organized by denomination, and individual church web site names and web search results can be quite confusing. Some directory designations for churches complicate and confuse the process. Even the designation as Christian has multiple doctrinal frames of reference. This makes the Internet search process onerous and may frustrate a potential seeker. > Unlike most web sites, the cTc.tv site provides a carefully crafted FREE resource that may be used by all. Furthermore, it provides FREE use to churches that wish to leverage their resource web page without having to take the time to identify the “best-of-the-best”. > Discovery and then feedback by one individual webmaster allows the information to be placed on cTc.tv overnight, and then be available to all with no time or effort by the thousands of other local church webmasters.
> What a relief for many that can be as this little mission grows! |
L. WHAT ARE THE EXPECTED RESULTS FROM THIS ENDEAVOR? |
> The outcome of this effort: more individuals, their children and future generations will come to a Christian church that cares, discover the true meaning of Jesus’ love for each of us, and transform the world with the love of Christ. > If you have questions that we have not answered so far, please call us now and learn more about this innovative way to extend Christian outreach in the proximity of your local church. |
